Sue is a chemical engineer, former lawyer, and mother of four. Sue's passion for the Kumon Method resulted from her family's own experience when her then-kindergarten son faced language challenges. He had difficulty learning to read. Sue enrolled two of her children in Kumon at that time and eventually all four of her children were benefiting from the Kumon Method. She opened Kumon West Road in 2001 and it quickly outgrew its tiny parking lot. She relocated the business to its current location at the corner of Jones and West Roads in March 2006. She was recently granted the right to open Kumon of Fairfield and is very happy to be able to spread Kumon to this wonderful community. In her spare time, Sue enjoys time with her husband and four redheaded teenagers. She also volunteers at her church, St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church at Queenston and West in Copperfield, where she loves singing praise tunes in the tenor section of the choir with Mark and Kevin, is a former member of the Vestry, and occasionally volunteers as a proofreader and desktop publisher.
